The Loft in Street, Somerset: My Review

I recently had the pleasure of revisiting The Loft in Street, Somerset to celebrate my Mum’s birthday. As many of you may recall from my earlier review this year, The Loft is a personal favourite. This visit only reinforced my admiration for what is a delightful restaurant.

The Experience

The Loft Burger

For my main course, I indulged in The Loft Burger, their house special. This mouthwatering creation features two 6oz beef patties, crispy bacon, a golden onion ring, tangy BBQ sauce, and runny cheese sauce. Every bite was a flavour explosion, perfectly proving why The Loft Burger is a standout on their menu.

The Loft’s Daily Cheesecake

Dessert was equally enjoyable with The Loft’s Daily Cheesecake. The cheesecake was creamy, rich, and a perfect sweet finish to a fantastic meal.

The Loft, a family-friendly restaurant, opened its doors in November 2021. Originally built in 1920 as a theatre house, this iconic property has a long history of serving as an entertainment venue for the residents of Street.

The current owner, Mark Tobin, is dedicated to preserving the property’s core values while offering something unique to the community. His vision was to create a space that is special for all ages and remains at the heart of the local community.

The rebranding process has successfully transformed The Loft into a welcoming and inclusive environment, making it a perfect spot for family gatherings and celebrations.

My recent visit to The Loft reaffirmed its status as one of my favourite dining spots. With its delicious food, warm atmosphere, and commitment to the community, The Loft continues to be a gem in Street.

Whether you’re celebrating a special occasion or simply enjoying a meal out, The Loft promises an experience that is both memorable and heartwarming.
